I love the staff at piedmont eye care Blakeney.. I can’t thank them enough for making my 5 year old son’s first eye exam an amazing time!
I was nervous about how is it gonna be but Dr. Major and Maria were soooo nice and looks like they have good experience with kids! He went there grumpy but left happily dancing!!
After a month I had an appointment with Dr. Major too and she was amazing explaining everything to me.. and then I was lucky to have Maria again helping me to have these beautiful glasses..

I've been with Piedmont EyeCare for 25 years, so they must be doing something right! I wanted to state that I love the new office layout as it is much more efficient. The front office staff is always welcoming, helpful and professional from check in to check out. My visit this week was with Heather and Dr. Major. Heather was exceptional as she explained what each test was for which is important to me. She is professional, knowledgeable, and exudes positive energy - one can tell she really enjoys her job. Of course my fav is Dr. Major who spent an appropriate amount of time tweeking my prescription and discussion all options with the same positive attitude. From the front staff, Heather and Dr. Major - they are assets to this great company!
my experience at Piedmont Eye Care Blakeney location….I can’t say thank you enough for making my first experience ever at an eye doctor PERFECT! EVERYONE IS so amazing! From the moment I walked in every person was so helpful and nice. The lady at the front desk was so patient and helped me get an appointment in that day with the doctor. She made me feel at ease and comfortable. I was able to see Doctor Philippe and he was absolutely wonderful! He took the time to go over everything with me and explained things so that I could understand. He also allowed me to ask question and made me feel like more than just another patient. I can’t thank him enough for that. I appreciate him so much. He has a special gift and hope he knows he impacts people’s lives in a good way every single day!
Shaina was FANTASTIC!! I have never had my eyes checked in my life and god bless each and every one of the people who helped me. She took her time to help me find the right pair of glasses and truly cared about making sure I was okay and good with it all. She’s a true angle!!

I had an amazing experience at Piedmont EyeCare Associates thanks to Maggie and Tatyana! Maggie went truly above and beyond— even when the doctor was out of the office, she took the initiative to message me directly and make sure I got comfortable contacts right away. She had my new lenses ready within a day, and her communication and customer care were exceptional.
Tatyana was equally wonderful. She helped me find the perfect pair of frames and was so patient with adjusting them multiple times until they fit perfectly. Her attention to detail and warm personality made the entire process enjoyable.
Both Maggie and Tatyana provided outstanding service, and I’m so grateful for their help. Highly recommend this office!

Staff was great, very professional and friendly. Dr. Johnson was great and Shaina Sutton in the eye glass department was super helpful.
Gina was fantastic! She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable before the doctor came in (Dr. Patel is my go-to). I love this practice! I've been coming here for four years. Jennifer in the glasses department has helped me find three different pairs over the years. I'm quite particular, and she listens exceptionally well. Every time I leave, I feel beautiful in my new glasses, thanks to her! I will continue coming back here!
My 12 year old was trying on contacts for the time. Karen was incredible! My son was having a hard time but she was soooo patient and took her time showing him and having him try. I was very impressed. Dr. Barrows was also very kind and seemed to speak my preteen's language. Overall, great experience, but Karen really stood out as exceptional.

Great staff and doctor at the Wesley Chapel location. Sara did the assessments and took pictures prior to us seeing the doctor on myself, husband, and son and was so personable, explained everything, and made us all feel very welcomed! We will be going back to see Sara again as she was a pleasure to work it.

I rarely post reviews, but I feel compelled to do so after interacting with Heather at the Blakeney location. It is not often that someone goes above and beyond for months trying to troubleshoot. This is exactly what Heather did. With each issue, she was incredibly calm, determined, understanding and a true patient advocate. Add in the warmth and cheerleading of Nicole, and I am not sure one could ask for a better experience. I love when things go right the first time around, but life rarely affords that option. I am unbelievably impressed when people like Heather stay on the journey through the bumps and adjust the winds for success. Thank you!

I had a great experience with Joy helping me select my glasses and was very knowledgeable of the types of progressive needs i had. Dr. Barrows as usual, did a wonderful job with my eye exam. This is my second year with them and been happy with their office.
Dr. Majors as well as all the staff Gina, Dez, and ESPECIALLY Casey, over in the eye glasses department, were all excellent. This was my first time being with Piedmont Eye, as my previous provider had closed down due to economic reasons. I was referred by a friend to try them out and I truly was not disappointed. After working with Gina in the contacts department, who was friendly and efficient, I then went to Casey after the exam for an eyeglass consultation and fitting. I was reluctant to work with her at first, but then she was slow and patient with me even, helping me pick out a wonderful selection. She told me all my out-of-pocket expenses before I committed. She took her time going over various options with me of what was within my budget, and what my insurance covered. At the end, I was so EXCITED to have picked out a new pair of glasses that she herself picked out by using my previous lens style. Now I absolutely can’t wait for my glasses to come in and will request that I specifically work with Casey for the fitting. Again, everyone from the moment I walked in welcomed me with smiles and kindness. I am very happy with selecting Piedmont for all of my eye care needs.
I had a great experience here. All of the staff were friendly and professional. Gina took me back from the waiting room and efficiently completed my eye pressure exam, retinal photos and helped me realize that daily contacts were better suited to my wearing habits. Dr. Barrow allowed me time to ask questions and provided useful information on how I can keep my eyes healthy. Finally, Shaina helped me to order my new contacts and made sure I had my itemized receipt, so I could submit a claim to my HSA. All in under 45 minute. Thank you all 🙂
Love Dr Major… she knows her stuff and has a great personality. She was my eye doctor for 5+ years, always great. I moved about an hour away from the Blakeney location. I tried another eye doctor, closer to my new home and regretted it. She’s worth the drive, I won’t be going anywhere else.

I have been using Piedmont Eye Care for quite a number of years now and on every visit I have received the same “exceptional/outstanding” service starting with the Front Desk, to the Technicians, and the Doctor’s. Their examinations are very comprehensive and methodical; they have a great team. Today Brandon helped me select the right pair of glasses that was a good fit for me and that met my needs. Brandon was fantastic, he could not have done more to ensure that I was happy with everything; thank you! It was a wow visit.
Everyone was great as usual! I am sorry I don’t recall everyone’s names. The person who greeted me was very efficient and nice. The vision assistant who did all must tests and got my situated was so helpful and answered all my questions. The doctor also was efficient and also answered my questions. Brandon was the best! Dr. Philippe and his team are outstanding! They are all so nice and caring! I couldn’t be happier with what all him and his team have done for my vision care! He gives you an honest evaluation and discusses options with you but explains the options on your level of understanding. The entire team at Piedmont EyeCare are stellar and the service is a 5 star experience! More doctors offices should treat their patients like this versus a process of shuffling people through.
