Rebecca S. Major, OD
Dr. Rebecca Major completed her undergraduate at Ferris State University and went on to attend The Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State. She graduated in 2007 with high distinction and soon after relocated to North Carolina with her husband.
During school Dr. Major was a member of many student organizations and was president of the Optometry Student Government. She has a strong belief in community service and was a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, participating in a mission trip to provide eye care and glasses to the poor population in San Carlos Mexico. She also received several awards, including the Acuvue Eye Health Advisor Citizenship Award.
Dr. Major’s personal interests include spending time with her husband Ryan and two children Clara and Calvin as well as running, dance, reading, boating and hiking. She recently completed her first marathon and a hike to the top of Mt. Whitney in California, the highest point in the continental U.S.
Dr. Major’s current membership and activities include: American Optometric Association, North Carolina State Optometric Society and Piedmont Optometric Society (current President).
