Dr. Shalini Patel completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, in 2016.
She completed her rotations at Piedmont Eye Care and W.G. Bill Hefner VA hospital in Salisbury, NC. She received the Eagle Vision Award to recognize her clinical excellence in ocular disease. In May 2015, Dr.Patel traveled to the small village of Marfranc, Haiti, through an organization called SVOSH, to provide free eye exams, glasses, and sunglasses to hundreds of underprivileged citizens.
Dr. Patel is a native of Charlotte and lives in the South Charlotte community with her husband, Anup. Aside from traveling with her husband, she enjoys dancing, photography, biking, hiking, and trying new local restaurants.
Dr. Patel’s Memberships and Associations include the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Society, and the Piedmont Optometric Society.
