Michael J. Johnson, OD
Dr. Michael J. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, Ohio.
Some of Dr. Johnson’s interests include volunteering in the local school district’s sport and marching band programs. He has also served as a committee member for the Swing for Sight Golf Tournament.
A native of New York, Dr. Johnson and his wife, Lisa, have lived in the Charlotte area since 1993. They have three children, daughters Madison and Michaela and son Ryan.
A former Division I collegiate soccer player at the University of Dayton, Dr. Johnson has served as a volunteer youth soccer coach and plays in the Charlotte Adult Premier Soccer League. He also enjoys golf, triathlons and other outdoor sports in his free time.
Dr. Johnson’s Memberships and Associations include: American Optometric Association, North Carolina Optometric Society, Piedmont Optometric Society (Past President), Prevent Blindness North Carolina, The Ocular Nutrition Society, and The Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society of Optometry.
